Maple Syrup

Al Hustad is a third - generation farmer and self proclaimed "maple nut" and his wife Linda have about 10,000 taps in the area and have been making maple syrup, maple cream and maple candy for more than 55 years. Once the sap starts "running" it is collected by hand into buckets, then used to process and produce Hustad's delicious maple syrup. Using the state of the art equipment, the sap goes through a reverse osmosis machine which removes about 75% of the water. From there, the maple sap goes into a 6' x  16' stainless steel - oil fired evaporator which processes the sap into maple syrup. The maple syrup is then processed through a filter press to remove any impurities. Finally, the maple syrup is bottled in a variety of containers and is ready for sale.
One thing that never changes year after year is the mouth watering taste of freshly-made Wisconsin maple syrup. Taste it for yourself
